PII Remover is a macOS app for reading and editing Markdown files on your computer. This policy describes how data is handled when you use the app and when you visit this website.

2. Data we process

App: The app opens, displays, and saves only the files you choose (for example via Open/Save or drag-and-drop). Processing happens locally on your device, within the file access you grant through the operating system.

Website: This website does not collect personal data unless you explicitly accept cookies. If you accept, anonymous usage analytics are loaded as described in section 4.

3. Collection and sharing

The developer does not receive, does not collect, and does not sell or share your document contents, file lists, or other personal data through PII Remover itself. The app does not include built-in analytics, advertising SDKs, or developer-operated accounts tied to our servers.

4. Website analytics

Analytics on this website are loaded only after you explicitly accept cookies via the consent banner. We use:

Google Analytics 4 — anonymous usage statistics with IP anonymization enabled.
Microsoft Clarity — session recordings and heatmaps to understand UX issues. No personally identifiable information is captured.

You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser's local storage.

5. Third parties

If you export a document (for example to PDF) or share a file using macOS features, that is governed by Apple's policies and any third-party service you choose — PII Remover does not automatically connect to external services for that.

6. Changes

We may update this policy if the app's or website's behavior changes materially. You can request the current version at developer@zinno.app.
